Summary Professional Experience:
Alice has 10 years experience in the social care field in the UK, beginning as a support worker and qualifying as a social worker in 2019. Throughout this time, she has worked in roles supporting older adults, individuals with disabilities and families within children’s services. Her most recent role as a social worker in the UK supporting individuals with disabilities entailed producing strengths-based and person-centred needs assessments and support plans with a focus on relationship based practice. Her other responsibilities included safeguarding practices, supporting individuals through crisis, advocating and empowering individuals to make their own decisions and reducing restrictive practices through implementation of the Mental Capacity Act. She has also worked with allied health professionals, educational settings and wider support services to ensure that individual holistic needs are met and common goals are worked towards with the aim of maximising quality of life for people she is supporting. Alice is passionate about making a genuine lasting difference for others.
