Summary Professional Experience:

Alecia is a Clinical Consultant and Behaviour Support Practitioner committed to rights-based, person-centred support. She delivers comprehensive functional behaviour assessments, develops tailored behaviour support plans, and provides practical training that helps care teams respond with confidence and consistency.

Alecia’s career spans hospitality, event management, residential crisis services, and short-term youth accommodation, giving her a strong ability to connect with diverse people and navigate complex dynamics. Currently, she supports people across the sector, including disability, out-of-home care, criminal justice, and sexual health. Alecia has a strong interest in sexuality and disability, including developing knowledge and resources in this space.

Alecia’s practice is grounded in neuro-affirming, strengths-based principles. Drawing on the Neurodevelopmentally, Attachment, and Trauma Informed (NATI) framework, she brings a trauma-informed lens to both the individual and their care team. She values the wellbeing of carers as a key part of improving outcomes and is skilled at combining technical, data-informed practice with thoughtful advocacy, including a strong commitment to upholding the sexual rights of people with disability.

Alecia’s working style is authentic, relational, and highly collaborative. She is committed to bringing historically excluded voices into decision-making and to helping ensure people receive support that reflects what they want and need, rather than what systems assume is best for them.
