Summary Professional Experience:

Simone is an experienced clinician with a strong background in psychological intervention, assessment and behaviour support. Her work has a particular focus on forensic practice, offending behaviour and behaviours of concern. Simone has worked across complex settings, including correctional environments, specialist school settings and community-based mental health support, with a consistent focus on people whose needs do not always fit neatly within traditional service responses.

Simone has experience supporting people with serious violent offending histories, interpersonal difficulties, chronic suicidality, neurodiversity, complex mental health needs and trauma-related presentations. Her practice is trauma-informed, person-centred and evidence-based. She draws on approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), schema-informed practice, motivational interviewing, single session therapy, rational emotive behaviour therapy (REBT) and the Risk-Need-Responsivity model. Simone also brings experience in functional behaviour assessment, behaviour support planning, implementation support and training.

Alongside her clinical work, Simone has a background in psychological education through teaching, lecturing, unit content design and topic advisory roles in higher education.

Simone’s work is grounded in curiosity, collaboration and compassion. She is passionate about supporting people to build safer, more meaningful lives and is guided by the belief that change is possible and that every person deserves the opportunity to live a good life.
