Summary Professional Experience:

Gagan is a Clinical Consultant, Behaviour Support Practitioner, and Registered Social Worker who supports children, young people, adults, and the families, carers, and teams around them. She brings a systems-focused, relational approach that combines evidence-based behavioural strategies with advocacy, practical environmental support, and a strong commitment to person-centred practice. Gagan values trust, collaboration, and therapeutic relationships as the foundation for meaningful and sustainable change, and works alongside people to build capacity, safety, and understanding across the systems that support them.

Gagan is especially passionate about working alongside people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, with a focus on reducing stigma around mental health and trauma and supporting access to culturally safe, responsive care.

Gagan’s career has included extensive work across homelessness, out-of-home care, asylum seeker support, and statutory services. She has supported people experiencing dual diagnosis, complex trauma, and significant vulnerability, always seeking to understand the whole person rather than defining them by their challenges. Gagan’s practice is informed by Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, psychodynamic perspectives, and trauma-informed principles.

Alongside her clinical work, Gagan contributes to service development and multidisciplinary learning, including helping establish the organisation’s Social Workers Community of Practice. She values opportunities to strengthen reflective practice, share knowledge, and support collaborative ways of working that benefit both practitioners and the people they support.
