Summary Professional Experience:
As an inclusion support educator at Stuart Park Primary School, Brooke has implemented evidence-based speech, language and literacy interventions to children aged 5-12. As a new graduate clinician, Brooke hopes to continue developing responsive and trusting relationships with children, adults, their families and the wider NT community, fostering a sense of belonging and supporting everyone towards achieving their goals.
Diverse clinical exposure includes:
Delivering Department of Education curriculum and speech pathology interventions at all levels of RTI (Tier 1, 2 and 3).
Assessment and management of adult communication and swallowing in acute hospital settings.
Stroke and TBI rehabilitation within Palmerston Regional Hospital.
Early speech, language and literacy intervention.
Development and implementation of AAC in the classroom.
Provision of speech pathology services to complex, culturally diverse individuals of all abilities.
Provision of developmentally appropriate OSHC and preschool playgroup programs.
Mealtime management education and IDDSI training for NDIS carers.
