Summary Professional Experience:

Brooke is a Clinical Consultant and Speech Pathologist who provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and tailored support for people experiencing communication and swallowing difficulties across the lifespan. Her practice is grounded in person-centred, relationship-based care, with a focus on developing therapy plans that are meaningful, engaging and responsive to each person’s goals. Brooke sees strong rapport as central to effective therapy, supporting learning, skill development and the use of communication strategies in everyday life.

Brooke brings broad clinical experience across education, hospital and community settings. Her background includes work as an inclusion support educator in a primary school, where she delivered evidence-informed speech, language and literacy interventions for children. Brooke has also supported adults with communication and swallowing needs in acute and rehabilitation settings, including people recovering from stroke and traumatic brain injury.

Brooke draws on Speech Pathology Australia’s clinical frameworks and trauma-informed principles to create safe, supportive and practical interventions. She has particular interest in early intervention, Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems including AUSLAN and Key Word Sign, language and social skills, and mealtime management support for carers and support networks.

Brooke is passionate about improving access to speech pathology services for individuals, families and communities in the Northern Territory. She is committed to outreach work, including in West Arnhem, where she has worked alongside local Elders, families and community members with cultural humility and respect for local knowledge, connection and diverse ways of working.
