Insightful Assessments for Individual Needs.
Respectful, person-centred assessments to understand needs, support planning, and promote wellbeing.
Who is this for?
SAL Consulting’s psychological assessments are designed for children, young people, and adults who may require a formal assessment to better understand their mental health, developmental profile, cognitive functioning, or diagnosis-related needs.
These assessments are often used to support:
Mental health diagnosis and treatment planning
Autism and neurodevelopmental assessments
Cognitive and memory screening (including for ageing populations)
Understanding learning or functional differences
NDIS access and planning
Behaviour support planning
Future service recommendations across health, education, and community settings
How does it work?
We offer a flexible, trauma-informed approach, with assessments delivered either in-clinic or at an appropriate off-site location to best support comfort and accessibility.
Each psychological assessment typically includes:
A comprehensive interview with the individual and/or their support network
Use of standardised tools and evidence-based assessment frameworks
Consideration of the person’s history, environment, and lived experience
Clear, jargon-free reporting tailored for the individual, their family, and professionals
Our experienced clinicians approach each assessment with sensitivity, cultural awareness, and person-centred care, ensuring the process feels collaborative, not clinical.
A written report is provided outlining:
Key findings
Relevant diagnoses (if applicable)
Practical, meaningful recommendations for ongoing support and intervention
