Have you ever wondered about studying at SAL Consulting and why we could be your preferred RTO?

Check out our fancy new brochure!

We’re excited to work with individuals and organisations to deliver qualifications that are relevant and built on our nearly 20 years of experience in the health and human services sectors.

Our brand new qualification – Certificate IV in Disability Support CHC43121 – is ready and waiting for enrolments!

This is a self-paced online program with regular tutorial support for people who are currently working in the disability sector or are keen to gain experience in this space. Check out the brochure for more information on the subjects and the learning and assessment requirements.

Our Cert IV Course Outline also gives you details on studying with SAL Consulting.

This new version of the Cert IV has a pre-requisite for learners to have the Cert III in Individual Support CHC33021. If you don’t have this qualification, there’s no need to worry. We’ve created an RPL pathway for you – choosing this option means you have the opportunity to complete two qualifications at the same time!

You can enrol at any time for this program. Please contact us if you have any questions – [email protected].

Diploma of Child, Youth and Family Intervention CHC50321

We are excited to announce the launch of our new CHC50321 Diploma of Child Youth and Family Intervention qualification! Check out the brochure for more info. Have some questions? Please send us an email at [email protected]

You can also check out the Diploma Course Outline for more information.

We’ve updated the program to an online delivery – you can enrol from anywhere in Australia and learn flexibly.

This course bridges the gap between theory and practice to provide participants with a hands-on, high-quality learning experience that is relevant to your work practice. Our Diploma course incorporates neurodevelopment, attachment and trauma informed (NATI) principles and offers a unique approach to child, youth and family work. These principles are incorporated across all of the Diploma modules to enhance the core content and to enable participants to work with children, youth and families from a therapeutic approach.

Certificate III in Individual Support CHC33021

This is a new qualification to our scope and we have developed a unique RPL pathway for experienced practitioners. Our focus in this program is for disability support workers. You can also use this program as an entry to the Certificate IV in Disability Support CHC43121.

Check out the Course Outline for more information on the RPL pathway.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO code 91494) SAL Consulting delivers qualifications to meet the diverse needs of the family, community, disability and human service sectors.  We provide a mix of calendar courses and organisation specific programs.

We are able to customise qualifications to the individual needs of organisation to reflect their sector contexts, service delivery and level of staff and skills.

Our qualification courses are unique – they incorporate Neurodevelopment, Attachment and Trauma Informed (NATI) principles and will equip learners with a specialised, therapeutic approach to child, youth and family work.

As the only RTO in Australian offering the NATI approach, our experience in integrating it across our clinical, organisational development and training services mean that our courses are current, relevant and informed by intensive engagement with families, children and young people.

Specific Accredited courses and skill sets

Accredited skill sets or part qualifications can be created from any of the qualifications SAL Consulting has on its scope.

Within these qualifications there are 54 identified skills sets that generally target entry-level workers to gain knowledge of a specific work role, including:

These skill sets are delivered by an RTO to organisations as part of their workforce development programs.

Alternatively, organisations can choose to create their own skill set that specifically targets their needs.  Ideally a program with 2-3 units is a manageable way to upskill staff across a number of areas.  Details of the official skill sets and units of competency and qualifications can be accessed at www.training.gov.au.

The cost of running an accredited course can potentially be offset through the NSW Government’s Smart and Skilled vocational education funding program.  In partnership with an RTO, organisations can apply for part-qualification funding.  The funding is linked to a skills priority list and specific regional needs.  SAL Consulting can apply for this funding across NSW.

A number of SAL Consulting’s existing professional development courses are mapped to accredited units.   Staff will participate in the existing course as well as complete some workplace and off-site assessment tasks to meet the requirements of the units.  Once the tasks are completed successfully we will issue formal Statements of Attainments to the learners.

Please contact our Training Executive Manager, Katherine Newton, ph: 0439 203 615, to discuss accredited skill set training options.
