Summary Professional Experience:
Ujowal is a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with extensive experience in child protection, residential support, and disability services. Previously serving as a Child Protection Practitioner with the Department of Territory Families, Housing, and Communities since June 2020, Ujowal demonstrated a strong commitment to safeguarding the well-being of vulnerable children and families. In this role, Ujowal executed statutory responsibilities in accordance with the Care and Protection of Children Act, conducts thorough assessments of individual, family, and community issues, and implements evidence-based interventions. Ujowal also ensures accurate documentation and actively contributes to the development and implementation of community welfare programs.
Ujowal’s experience also includes roles as a Disability Support Worker with Edmen Community Services and a Youth Worker with Safe Pathway, where they provided care, support, and skill development to children and young people with complex needs and challenging behaviors.
