Shiqian is a registered Occupational Therapist with experience across hospital, school, and community settings. She has supported individuals living with:

  • Autism and sensory processing difficulties

  • Global developmental delay and intellectual disability

  • Stroke and spinal cord injury etc.

Her professional passions include:

  • Sensory processing (because the world can be a little loud and bumpy)

  • Emotional regulation (helping people find calm and confidence)

  • Self-care skills such as toilet training (yes, it’s a milestone worth celebrating!)

  • Functional independence, including wheelchair prescription (because mobility = freedom)

  •    Delivering evidence-based, client- and family-centered care

  • Enhancing participation, independence, and quality of life

  • Bringing a strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach, shaped by several years living and working in the NT.
