Summary Professional Experience:
I had been school teacher in Hong Kong and then migrated to Australia to study occupational therapy. I am an OT who is experienced in working with NDIS teenagers and adults. I have experience in working with individuals who living in Specialist Disability Accommodation(SDA).
I have 7 years experience as an OT. I have worked with clients who are diagnosed with ASD, Cerebral Palsy, ID, Epilepsy, OCD, sensory processing difficulties, pressure injuries, Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT) etc.
My current work in NDIS setting include:
Assess and prescribe assistive technology (AT)/equipment
Deliver independent living skills training
Deliver manual handling profile and training
Completing assessment and reports including functional capacity assessment (FCA) report, supported independent living (SIL) assessment report, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessment report , Assistive Technology (AT)assessment report
Conduct home assessment and assist in basic home modification
Complete sensory assessment and report
Furthermore, I was an OT who worked in the rehabilitation ward of a hospital. I worked in both inpatient and outpatient units. My work included:
Conduct functional assessment, home assessment and cognitive assessment for discharge planning
Assess and deliver upper limbs exercise program
Deliver educational workshops such as fall prevention program, mindfulness program and energy conservation program
