Summary Professional Experience:
Martine has a wealth of experience working with people living with disabilities and their families, within multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams, often combining both behaviour support and speech pathology caseloads; working as a Practice Consultant with the Tasmanian Office of the Senior Practitioner; and providing support with Positive Behaviour Support, Swallowing assessment and mealtime management, and Complex Communication Needs.
Martine also has experience in running training for families, disability support workers, TAFE students, disability support providers, behaviour support practitioners and Allied Health clinicians; and in providing clinical supervision to student speech pathologists, experienced speech pathologists, early career behaviour support clinicians and experienced behaviour support clinicians.
Areas of special interest of Martine’s are a focus on empowerment and enablement for the people she works with, transdisciplinary service delivery, complex dysphagia assessment and mealtime support for people living with lifelong disability, and bereavement supports for people living with lifelong disability.
