Summary Professional Experience:
Maks is a Psychology graduate with frontline and leadership experience supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disability, and complex mental health needs. He has worked in residential care settings as a Team Leader and is now developing his practice as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
His previous experience includes assisting individuals with personal care, meal preparation and daily routines; facilitating meaningful community participation; supporting the development of functional skills; and contributing to the development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans, and Positive Behaviour Support Strategies.
Maks values a person-centred approach and enjoys building warm rapport by taking the time to get to know individuals and understand the factors which may underlie behaviour. He brings a calm and consistent approach to his work, particularly in more challenging situations, and values being part of a collaborative team that works together to support individuals in a meaningful way.
