Summary Professional Experience:
Throughout her career, Kylie has merged her education and community development expertise with her passion for social justice to create meaningful change. Kylie is particularly interested in using trauma informed, culturally safe practices to improve health and learning outcomes for young people with complex support needs. Kylie has worked in a variety of settings including mainstream public schools, zoo based conservation, the humanitarian aid sector, youth homelessness, the public health research sector and Aboriginal led not for profits.
Most recently, Kylie worked collaboratively with First Nations families, both urban and remote, to establish culturally safe early learning programs on country that privilege First languages and culture. Kylie has extensive team management and leadership experience, including managing high performing teams through change, leading multidisciplinary field work teams in remote villages in Timor-Leste and remote communities throughout the NT.
