Damon is a highly experienced registered psychologist supporting adults and children, including people in the disability and out-of-home care sectors. Known for his calm, grounded presence, he provides steady leadership to clients, families, and teams navigating complexity and crisis. He is motivated by work that creates lasting change and values long-term partnerships with the people and systems he supports.
As a Partner in the organisation, Damon’s career spans frontline crisis support, organisational psychology, disability therapy management, and practice leadership. He leads internal governance, systems development, and complex clinical work, with particular expertise in multidisciplinary assessment. As an AHPRA-approved supervisor, he mentors psychologists and behaviour support practitioners while maintaining an active clinical caseload, ensuring his guidance remains grounded in practice.
Damon has extensive experience supporting young people through significant life transitions, including leaving care, and his strategic practice improvement work includes the ongoing evolution of the PASII (Proactive Approaches to Safe Incident Intervention) training program that equips staff and carers to respond to high-risk behaviours and critical incidents safely and proactively.
Damon’s clinical approach is firmly trauma-informed, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and evidence-based psychological approaches, including the 4 Ps psychological model. He is particularly interested in therapeutic approaches that strengthen anxiety management, resilience, and leadership capacity.
