Summary Professional Experience:
Anja has over 30 years of experience in working in the health industry, first as a Nurse and then as an Occupational Therapist. After migrating to Australia, Anja completed her Master of Occupational Therapy Practice at La Trobe University. Following on from this, Anja pursued her dream of working with people with severe and enduring mental health conditions which she has done across community and inpatient settings.
Many of Anja’s clients have a trauma history and multiple diagnoses and/or find themselves in complex situations or within difficult-to-navigate systems.
Anja is able to conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy functional assessments including housing and sensory assessments and provide Occupational Therapy interventions with regard to:
Daily activities,
Structure and routine,
Occupational balance,
Identifying and incorporating meaningful activities,
Stress management,
Sensory modulation and
Suitable and therapeutic living environments.
Anja is also available to provide Occupational Therapy input at care team meetings and training for families and carers.
