Summary Professional Experience:
Irene is a registered Provisional Psychologist currently undertaking the 5+1 pathway towards general registration in Australia.
She has over 10 years of experience working internationally in humanitarian settings across East and West Africa, where she has designed and led Child protection, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) interventions, developed psychosocial curricula, trained frontline staff, and provided direct support to vulnerable children and communities affected by conflict and displacement.
She began her career as a frontline worker in one of the world’s largest refugee camps, later progressing into management roles within the protection and peace building sectors.
Motivated by a strong interest in mental health, she is committed to expanding her knowledge and skills in the field to provide more holistic, client-centred interventions to individuals and communities in need.
